  • 4 cups of distilled white vinegar

  • 4 pounds turnip, peeled and chopped into sticks like fried potato sticks

  • 6 Water cups

  • 12 peeled beet slices

  • 2 bay leaves

  • a cup of kosher coarse salt

  • 6 garlic cloves, peeled .

How to prepare:

 

Place a saucepan over medium heat and add 3 cups of water and a gar leaf of salt to it and mix well until the salt dissolves.

Move the pot to cool down,Then add the remaining cup of water and vinegar.

 

Cut the turnip. Take clean, dry jars

Put a slice of beets in each jar(To give the turnip a pink color)5.

Divide the turnip and garlic slices between the jars. Add the brine to the turnip, cover well and add water.and leaving a free space of 1/2 inch from the top of the jar.

. Place the lids on the jars and leave them in a cool place for at least a week, Once cooked, keep it in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Pickles stay for several months when placed in a cool, dark place, and the color and flavor increases with the days,and in two weeks he's ready to eat.

 

2-How to make pickled cucumber


Pickled cucumber is often used in summer as a snack،Also in the winter it can be served alongside your favorite foods.

The appropriate time for pickling vegetables is August and September.

 

If you're looking for a way to pickle cucumbers, here's an easy and quick recipe.


ingredients:

  1. Amount of cucumbers as needed.

  2. Amount of radish.

  3.  black pepper seeds.

  4. Garlic cloves .

  5. dried dill-sugar.

  6. vinegar- bay leaves.

  7. salt-thyme.

  8. mustard seeds.

How to prepare:

-Choose the option that is free from stains and blemishes, clean them well with a brush and water, and cut them in half

-Wash the radish, cut it slices, and put it between the cucumbers.

 

-Divide the cucumbers in jars and between the grains, put the radish, black pepper seeds, garlic cloves and dried dill.

 

-Boil the vinegar 150 ml  for Each 6 cucumbers  , 4 tablespoons of salt, bay leaves,2 tablespoons of sugar, thyme and mustard seeds over low heat for 3 minutes.
